Blue Capital Reinsurance Holdings Ltd.

A Bermuda-based holding company that ran a collateralized reinsurance business, letting outside investors share in property-catastrophe insurance risk through insurance-linked securities. Founded in 2013 by reinsurer Montpelier Re, it later passed to Endurance Specialty and then to Japan's Sompo International through acquisitions. In 2019 it announced it was winding down, delisting from the New York and Bermuda stock exchanges in 2020 to return money to shareholders.
