A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) — a "blank check" firm whose only job was to raise money from investors and then find a private company to merge with and take public. Founded by energy-industry veteran John Wilder, it listed on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2020 with a focus on energy and industrial businesses. It never completed a deal, so it wound down and liquidated in 2023, returning its cash to shareholders.
