Bridgetown 2 Holdings Ltd
A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) — a "blank check" firm that raises money through an IPO to later merge with a private company and take it public. It was created by Richard Li's Pacific Century Group and Peter Thiel's Thiel Capital to hunt for a technology, financial, or media business in Southeast Asia. In 2022 it merged with PropertyGuru, the Singapore-based online real estate marketplace, which then began trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The "Bridgetown" name evokes the idea of a bridge connecting private companies to public markets.
