British American Tobacco Plc
A maker of cigarettes and modern nicotine products, British American Tobacco sells familiar brands like Lucky Strike, Dunhill, Kent and Pall Mall, along with newer vapes (Vuse), heated tobacco (glo) and nicotine pouches (Velo). It was born in 1902 when British and American rivals ended a cross-Atlantic "tobacco war" by teaming up, with the American side keeping the US market and the British side the UK — the venture took charge of the rest of the world. Fun fact: it later moved its headquarters to London after the two founding parents each went their own way.
