Acadian Asset Management Inc.
A Boston-based investment manager that runs money for big institutions, using data, technology and machine learning to spot market patterns and build portfolios across stocks, bonds and private-market strategies. Its roots stretch back to 1980, when Norton Reamer founded United Asset Management, and it took the name BrightSphere in 2018 after splitting from the South African group Old Mutual — the "sphere" meant to suggest how its different investment shops added up to a richer whole. By 2025 it had sold off almost all of those shops, kept just one, and rebranded the whole company to that firm's name, Acadian Asset Management.
