Central European Media Enterprises Ltd.

A television broadcaster that runs popular stations across Central and Eastern Europe, including TV Nova in the Czech Republic, PRO TV in Romania, TV Markíza in Slovakia, POP TV in Slovenia, and bTV in Bulgaria. It was co-founded in 1991 by Ronald Lauder, heir to the Estée Lauder cosmetics fortune, and a former U.S. ambassador, with the goal of bringing independent TV to former Communist countries after the Iron Curtain fell. Its very first channel launched in the Czech Republic in 1994.
