A "blank check" company, or SPAC, that raised money through an IPO to later merge with an existing business. It focused on consumer, health, and wellness companies — hence the initials in its name, CHW. In August 2022 it merged with Wag Labs, the company behind the pet-services app Wag!, and took on its new name, Wag! Group Co. A fun detail: a company that started as a shell with no products ended up becoming the operator of one of the best-known apps for finding dog walkers and pet sitters.
