Climaterock

A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm that raises money to buy an existing business — ClimateRock was founded in 2021 by Charles Ratelband V to hunt for a takeover target in clean energy, from solar and wind to green hydrogen and battery storage. Its name pairs "Climate" for that focus with "Rock" to suggest solidity. Incorporated in the Cayman Islands and run from London, it has struck a merger deal with GreenRock Corp, an independent renewable-power producer.
