A food-delivery platform that connects hungry customers with restaurants, grocers, and retailers through its app, using a network of riders to bring meals and groceries to the door. It was founded in London in 2013 by Will Shu, who was frustrated that he couldn't get quality restaurant food delivered to his late-night office, and his childhood friend Greg Orlowski. The name blends "delivery" with "kangaroo," inspired by Shu's own nickname "Roo" from his business-school days.
