Bancorpsouth Inc

A regional bank that served individuals and businesses across the American South with checking and savings accounts, mortgages, and business lending. It got its start in 1876, when a bank charter was granted to operate out of the back of a hardware store in Verona, Mississippi, later moving to Tupelo. In 2021 it merged with Cadence Bancorporation and rebranded as Cadence Bank, which was later acquired by Huntington Bancshares.
