Diversey Holdings, Ltd.

A global maker of commercial cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene products, Diversey supplies hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and food plants with cleaning chemicals, dosing equipment, and floor-care machines. It was founded in Chicago in 1923 by August and Herbert Kochs, who invented the first combined cleaner-disinfectant and sold it in barrels. The company takes its name from Diversey Avenue, the street where it started, and was acquired by specialty-chemicals firm Solenis in 2023.
