A "blank check" company, Global Lights Acquisition Corp is a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that raises money through an IPO to merge with or buy an existing business. It has no operations of its own; its stated aim was to find a target in the sustainable development sector, such as clean energy or environmentally sound infrastructure. Founded in 2021 and incorporated in the Cayman Islands, it was led by chairman and CEO Zhizhuang Miao, and it has since been liquidated without completing a deal.
