Jaws Acquisition Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm whose only job was to raise money and merge with a private company to take it public. Founded in 2019 by billionaire investor Barry Sternlicht, founder of Starwood Capital, it merged in 2021 with Cano Health, a primary-care network for seniors, which then began trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The name comes from Sternlicht's family office, Jaws Estates Capital, and drew playful nods to the famous shark movie.
Class A Common Stock — Acquired by Cano Health, LLC in reverse merger on June 3, 2021; delisted from NYSE
No Schedule 13D or 13G filings recorded.
