Msd Acquisition Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, set up in 2021 to raise money and merge with a private business in high-growth technology and media sectors, taking it public. It was founded by investment executives Gregg Lemkau and John Phelan, with Michael Dell — founder of Dell Technologies — serving as strategic advisor, and it traces its roots to the firm that manages Dell's family wealth. The company never completed a merger and was later liquidated. Fun quirk: its "MSD" initials come from Michael Dell, though the same letters are famously used as the name of a major pharmaceutical firm in many countries.
