C.r. Bard, Inc.

A maker of medical devices used in hospitals and clinics, C.R. Bard became best known for urology products like the Foley catheter, along with vascular, oncology, and surgical devices. It was founded in 1907 by Charles Russell Bard, a French silk importer who got his start selling a European remedy for urinary discomfort. The company's name simply came from its founder, and it was later bought by Becton, Dickinson and Company in 2017.
