A maker of personal, home, and baby care products, PZ Cussons owns familiar brands like Imperial Leather soap, Carex hand wash, and Cussons Baby. It began in 1884 when George Paterson and George Zochonis set up a trading business in Sierra Leone, and took its name after buying the Cussons Group in 1975. The Imperial Leather name traces back to a perfume commissioned by a Russian nobleman in 1768, inspired by the scent of "Russia leather."
