Pyrophyte Acquisition Corp

A special purpose acquisition company, or "blank check" company, that raises money from investors and uses it to merge with or acquire a private business and take it public. The Pyrophyte family of SPACs focuses on the energy sector, targeting companies that supply critical minerals, materials, and technologies for everything from traditional energy to renewables. The name comes from botany: a "pyrophyte" is a plant that thrives after fire, from the Greek words for fire and plant. The first Pyrophyte went public in 2021 and later agreed to combine with Sio Silica, a Canadian high-purity silica provider.
