Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc

A British maker of household health, hygiene, and nutrition products, Reckitt owns familiar brands like Dettol, Lysol, Nurofen, Durex, and Finish. It was born in 1999 from the merger of Britain's Reckitt & Colman and Germany's Benckiser, whose roots reach back to an 1840 starch mill in Hull. Fun fact: Dettol's name was invented by a scientist after the company rejected the clinical-sounding "PCMX" for its active ingredient.
