Aurora Innovation, Inc.

A maker of self-driving technology, Aurora builds the Aurora Driver—a full-stack autonomous system with sensors and software that steers long-haul freight trucks, offered to trucking fleets through its Aurora Horizon service. It was founded in 2017 by Chris Urmson, Sterling Anderson, and Drew Bagnell, who had led self-driving work at Google (now Waymo), Tesla, and Uber. The name evokes a new dawn for trucking, and its first commercial route runs between Dallas and Houston.
