Net Power Inc.
A blank-check company from the Rice family of Pennsylvania gas producers, Rice Acquisition Corp. II was a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that merged with NET Power in 2023 to fund a technology burning natural gas with pure oxygen to make electricity while capturing nearly all its carbon emissions. The Rice brothers had earlier built Rice Energy and sold it to EQT, and Danny Rice took the helm of the merged firm. The name comes from the family, not the grain.
