7 Acquisition Corporation
A blank check company, or SPAC, formed in 2021 in Stamford, Connecticut, with the sole purpose of raising money to merge with a private company—it aimed to target businesses focused on sustainability and environmental products and services. It was led by Craig Cogut, founder of the investment firm Pegasus Capital Advisors, and raised hundreds of millions through its public offering on Nasdaq in late 2021. The "7" in its name has no publicly disclosed meaning, and after failing to find a merger partner in time, it returned its funds to shareholders and wound down in 2023.
