Vector Acquisition Corp
A "blank check" company, or SPAC, Vector Acquisition Corp was formed in 2020 by San Francisco private-equity firm Vector Capital to raise money and merge with a tech business. Led by Vector Capital founder Alex Slusky, it made its mark by merging with Rocket Lab, the aerospace maker of the Electron launch vehicle, in 2021. Its name echoes the math term for a quantity with direction and magnitude — fitting for a firm in search of its target.
