A London-based investment manager that focuses entirely on emerging markets, running money in government and corporate debt, equities, and private assets for institutions and funds. It began in 1992 as a division of Australia's ANZ bank, then a team led by Mark Coombs bought it out in 1999 and took it public in 2006. The name comes from an Old English surname meaning "ash tree by the moor."
