Easyjet Plc
One of the world's largest low-cost airlines, easyJet flies millions of passengers on short- and medium-haul routes across Europe, landing at big primary airports in dozens of countries. It was founded in 1995 by Greek-Cypriot entrepreneur Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou after a trip to the US convinced him the budget travel model could work in Europe. The name almost wasn't "easy" at all — Stelios first considered calling the airline "Stelair" before settling on the simpler brand.
