A British housebuilder that turns disused, previously developed land into whole new neighborhoods, mixing homes with shops, parks and schools across the South of England. Tony Pidgley and Jim Farrer founded it in 1976 after leaving Crest Homes, starting in Weybridge and delivering just four houses in their first year. The name Berkeley was chosen for its professional, distinctly British character rather than for any place or person.
