Foster Wheeler AG
A global engineering and construction firm that designs, builds, and manages large industrial plants — oil refineries, petrochemical and power facilities, and marine boilers for the U.S. Navy. It was born in 1927 when the Power Specialty Company (founded by the Foster brothers in 1884) merged with the Wheeler Condenser & Engineering Company (founded in 1891), and the new name simply combined the two founders' surnames. In 2014 it merged with AMEC to become Amec Foster Wheeler, which was later absorbed into the John Wood Group.
