B/e Aerospace Inc
A maker of aircraft cabin interiors, B/E Aerospace built the seats, galleys, oxygen systems, and lighting that fill passenger planes flown by airlines, business jets, and the military. Founded in 1987 when an investment group led by Amin Khoury bought the small seat-component maker Bach Engineering, the company grew by buying competitors and later changed its name. The "B/E" in its name comes from the initials of the two companies that formed its foundation—Bach Engineering and EECO Avionics. It was acquired by Rockwell Collins in 2017.
