Kansai Paint Co., Ltd.
A Japanese maker of paints and coatings and one of the world's largest, Kansai Paint supplies the automotive coatings that finish cars for Toyota, Honda, and Nissan, along with industrial and decorative paints. It was founded in 1918 by merchant Katsujiro Iwai in Amagasaki, in Japan's Kansai region, which gives the company its name. The founder lived by the proverb "Things of value attract people without words," a saying the firm still cites today.
