Tbs Holdings Inc

A Japanese media and broadcasting holding company that runs the TBS Television network (lead station of the 28-affiliate Japan News Network) and TBS Radio, along with producing and distributing music, anime, and manga. It began in 1951 as Radio Tokyo, a joint venture of rival license applicants including newspapers and the ad agency Dentsu, and renamed itself Tokyo Broadcasting System in 1960. Its Akasaka headquarters, topped with a huge parabolic antenna deck, is affectionately nicknamed the "Big Hat."
