Nippon Sanso Holdings Corp
A maker of industrial, electronic, and medical gases, Nippon Sanso Holdings supplies oxygen, nitrogen, and argon to factories, steelmakers, and hospitals around the world, and even owns the Thermos brand of insulated bottles. It began in 1910, when founder Takehiko Yamaguchi brought Japan its first oxygen business after studying the industry in Europe, and its name literally means "Japan" plus "oxygen." The group grew through mergers, including with Taiyo Toyo Sanso in 2004, before becoming a holding company in 2020.
