A South Korean paint and coatings maker headquartered in Busan, Chokwang Paint produces architectural paints, heavy-duty industrial and shipyard coatings, and wood and furniture finishes under brands like NATURE N and SIRCATAN. Founded in Busan in 1947, the company grew through technical partnerships with Belgian and Italian coating firms in the 1980s. Its name, "Chokwang," is often read as "morning light" or "bright dawn," a nod to the new beginnings Korea's industrial firms embraced after the war.
