Artisan Acquisition Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), or "blank check" company, that was formed in 2021 to raise money and merge with an existing private business and take it public. Founded by Hong Kong cultural entrepreneur Adrian Cheng, it hunted for high-growth healthcare, consumer, and tech companies in Greater China, ultimately merging with Prenetics Group, a genomic and diagnostic testing firm. Cheng, who built the art-and-commerce brand K11, chose the "Artisan" name to echo his love of craftsmanship.
