Colonnade Acquisition Corp. II
A blank-check company, also known as a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, set up to raise money on the stock market and use it to buy or merge with a private business and take it public. Spun out of Colonnade Capital, an asset manager founded by Joseph Sambuco and Remy Trafelet, it listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021 and planned to combine with Plastiq, a payments firm for small businesses, but the deal fell through and it wound down in 2023. Its sibling, the original Colonnade Acquisition Corp., successfully took the lidar sensor maker Ouster public.
