Trinseo Plc
A maker of specialty plastics, latex binders, and synthetic rubber, Trinseo supplies materials used in everything from car interiors and tires to paints, adhesives, and household goods. The company began as a collection of plastics and rubber businesses inside Dow Chemical, which were sold to Bain Capital in 2010 and launched as Styron before being renamed Trinseo in 2015. The name comes from the word "intrinsic," chosen to reflect how its materials are woven into the everyday products customers make.
