Orbotech Ltd

A maker of automated optical inspection and laser imaging systems used to build printed circuit boards, flat-panel displays, and advanced semiconductor packaging — the eyes and lasers that help electronics factories spot defects and connect components. It was born in 1991 when two Israeli pioneers, Orbot and Optrotech, merged; its name is a mash-up of the two. Fun fact: its founders first applied electro-optical tech developed for military use to commercial manufacturing, and today the company operates as part of KLA.
