Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV

An automaker formed in 2014 when Italy's Fiat took over the struggling American carmaker Chrysler, its brands — Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo — rolling off assembly lines for drivers around the world. Fiat itself dates to 1899 in Turin, its name an acronym for "Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino," while Chrysler began in 1925. In 2021 the company merged with France's PSA Group to become Stellantis, a name drawn from Latin for "to brighten with stars."
