A special purpose acquisition company, or blank-check company, set up in 2021 as Norway's first of its kind. It was launched by Viking Venture (now Viking Growth), a Norwegian software investor based in Trondheim, to find one of the larger Nordic business-to-business software firms. Its name nods to Norwegian Viking heritage, "AC" is short for acquisition, and the "AS" suffix is Norwegian for a limited company.
