Wal-Mart De México, S.a.b. De C.v.
One of Latin America's largest retailers, Walmart de México (Walmex) runs a family of store formats across Mexico and Central America — from Bodega Aurrera discount stores and Sam's Club warehouse clubs to Walmart hypermarkets — plus its own mobile phone service called Bait. Its roots reach back to 1958, when three brothers opened a small clothing shop in Mexico City that grew into the Aurrera chain, later merging with Walmart. The name Aurrera comes from the Basque language and means "forward," a nod to the founders' heritage that shoppers still see on storefronts today.
