Vend Marketplaces Asa (fka Schibsted Asa)

One of Northern Europe's biggest online marketplaces, this Norwegian company runs classifieds sites like FINN.no in Norway and Blocket.se in Sweden, where people buy and sell cars, homes, and secondhand goods. It began in 1839, when Christian Michael Schibsted — raised in an Oslo orphanage that ran its own printing shop — opened a printing house that grew into the newspaper publisher Schibsted. After splitting from its news media arm, the marketplace business was renamed Vend Marketplaces in 2025.
