Trelleborg Ab

A Swedish engineering firm that makes polymer seals, hoses and anti-vibration parts that keep everything from aircraft, cars and industrial machines running smoothly — invisible but essential components sold around the world. It began in 1905 as Trelleborgs Gummifabriks AB, a rubber factory founded by Henry Dunker and Johan Kock in the southern Swedish town of Trelleborg, whose early products were bicycle tires and raincoats. Fittingly, the town's name traces to Viking-era words for a fortress, and local legend even jokingly calls it the "troll's fort."
