A developer and operator of integrated resorts, Genting Singapore runs Resorts World Sentosa on Singapore's Sentosa Island, home to Universal Studios Singapore, the S.E.A. Aquarium, and Adventure Cove Waterpark. The company is part of the Genting Group, founded by Malaysian entrepreneur Lim Goh Tong, whose name comes from the Malay word for "mountain pass." Genting Singapore won the 2006 bid to build one of Singapore's two casino resorts, which opened in 2010.
