Qurate Retail Inc
A video-shopping powerhouse, Qurate Retail runs QVC and HSN, the home-shopping TV networks that sell everything from kitchen gadgets to fashion to millions of viewers across dozens of countries, plus web and social shopping. Its roots stretch back to 1977, when a Florida radio host famously sold 112 avocado-green can openers on air to settle a client's debt, sparking the idea for HSN; rival QVC (named for "Quality, Value, Convenience") launched in 1986, and the two networks were later combined under one parent. The company renamed itself QVC Group in 2025.
