Ardmore Shipping Corp
A seaborne shipping company that owns and operates a fleet of mid-sized, fuel-efficient product and chemical tankers, hauling gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and specialty chemicals for oil majors, chemical producers, and commodity traders around the world. Founded in 2010 by shipping executive Anthony Gurnee with investment firm Greenbriar Equity Group, the company famously got its start operating from a humble Irish farmhouse before listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2013. Its name comes from the Irish Gaelic "Ard Mór," meaning "great height," shared with a seaside village in County Waterford.
