Atlas Corp

A holding company behind the world's largest independent fleet of container ships. Its subsidiary Seaspan leases cargo vessels to major shipping lines like Maersk and MSC, while sister firm APR Energy supplies quickly deployable, trailer-mounted power plants to utilities and governments. Atlas Corp was created in 2020 as the parent of Seaspan, which took root in Vancouver in the early 2000s. The name nods to the Greek Titan Atlas, who carried the world on his shoulders—fitting for a company that hauls cargo across the seas.
