Baltic Trading Limited
A dry bulk shipping company that carried iron ore, coal, and grain across the world's oceans, Baltic Trading Limited was spun off by Genco Shipping & Trading in 2010 to run its vessels on the spot market. It grew a modern fleet of Capesize, Supramax, and Handysize ships before being folded back into Genco in 2015. Its name nods to the Baltic Exchange, whose roots trace to a London coffee house where ship captains once gathered to strike deals.
