Teekay Lng Partners L.p.
A fleet owner that carries liquefied natural gas and petroleum gas across the oceans for major energy companies under long-term charter contracts. Spun out of Teekay Corporation in 2004 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it was bought by investment firm Stonepeak in 2022 and rebranded as Seapeak. The name "Teekay" comes from the initials of founder Torben Karlshoej, a Danish shipbroker who started the parent company in 1973 with small used oil tankers.
