Autoweb, Inc.
A digital marketplace that helps car shoppers find new and used vehicles, matching buyers with dealerships through websites like Car.com and UsedCars.com. It grew out of AutoWeb.com, founded in 1994 by Iranian-born brothers Payam and Frank Zamani, after Frank—then a programmer at Microsoft—wanted to buy a Honda and saw no easy way to shop for cars online. The business absorbed rival Autobytel and took back the AutoWeb name in 2017.
