Qumu Corporation
A maker of enterprise video software, Qumu helps big companies create, secure, stream and manage live and on-demand video for internal communications, training and company-wide broadcasts. The technology began life as a product called Media Publisher that ended up at Yahoo! after its dot-com-era purchase of Inktomi, until two former eScene executives bought it back and spent six years turning it into a video platform, renaming the company Qumu in 2008. Today it runs as a subsidiary of the Canadian software firm Enghouse.
