Erickson Inc.
A maker and operator of the S-64 Air Crane helicopter, the heavy-lift aircraft famous for dumping water on wildfires and lifting huge loads for construction and disaster relief. Founded in 1971 by Jack Erickson, who first leased a Sikorsky S-64 to test using helicopters for logging timber, the company grew out of that experiment and later renamed itself from Erickson Air-Crane to Erickson Incorporated in 2014. It is headquartered in Central Point, Oregon.
