Electro Rent Corporation

A maker of test and measurement gear for engineers, Electro Rent rents, leases, and sells electronic testing equipment — oscilloscopes, signal generators, and similar instruments from brands like Keysight, Tektronix, and Rohde & Schwarz — used by aerospace, telecom, semiconductor, and automotive companies. Founded in 1965, it became its own public company in 1980 after shareholders voted to liquidate its parent firm, Telecor, and hand out Electro Rent shares. The name is a plain description of the business: renting out "electro"nic gear.
